Is smoking allowed at the property?

No.  Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property including inside your apartment.

Which utilities do I have to pay for?

Residents only pay for utilities that are billed directly from the utility companies.  That includes your electricity, and telephone. Heat, hot water, cooking gas, and WI-FI are provided by the building.

Is public transportation readily accessible?

Hyde Park has an assortment of public transportation options.  Eight separate CTA bus lines provide excellent coverage throughout the neighborhood (as well as the rest of the city).  Your apartment will be no more than a couple of blocks from the nearest bus stop. Rail service to Millennium Park and central Indiana, with stops at 52nd St., 56th St., and 59th St., is provided by the Metra Electric Line and the South Shore Line.

If you are affiliated with the University of Chicago, they operate their own comprehensive bus system servicing all of Hyde Park as well as the Gleacher Center and UChicago Medicine clinics on the city’s north side.

What online services are available to me?
